Yerger Family Farm, LP
Robert & Betsy Yerger, with their son Chris and daughter Beth and their families, established Yerger Family Farm, LP as a limited partnership in June of 2001.
The farm is located in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, along Tuscarora Creek Road, in Tell Township. Property consists of 145 acres, with over 100 acres of woodland, several acres of pasture and approximately 25 acres of tillable land. The property is approximately 1 mile deep. Tuscarora Creek Road and Richvale Road border part of the property. There are streams along both these roads, with two additional intermittent streams within the property. The Pa. Fish Commission stocks the Tuscarora Creek at least twice annually with trout. There are two fairly deep valleys that lead up to the woodland with numerous trails for hiking, hunting, or running the "Mule" for a woodland stroll.
The rear of the Yerger Family Farm property is bordered by 460 acres of woodland owned by the Glatfelter Pulp Wood Co. This land is leased to the local Tuscarora Creek Hunting Club of which Robert is a member. Adjoining that property is also Pa. State Game Land, which is open to the public for hunting. There is plenty of space to hunt and hike on these contiguous properties.
